About YourInflationCalculator.com
YourInflationCalculator.com is an independently run site built to make official UK inflation data easy to actually use. Rather than publishing another article about the headline inflation rate, it turns the same underlying government figures into a few focused, practical calculators — starting with general purchasing power, salary real-terms comparisons, and UK house price trends.
Where the data comes from
Every figure on this site is sourced directly from official UK government statistics, used under the Open Government Licence:
- Consumer Prices Index (CPI), published by the Office for National Statistics.
- UK House Price Index, published by HM Land Registry.
No figures are estimated, scraped from third parties, or manually entered — each calculator page links directly to its source dataset and shows when it was last refreshed.
How often it updates
Both datasets are checked automatically twice a month and the site rebuilds whenever new data is available, so figures stay current without any manual step.
A note on what this isn't
This site is an informational tool, not financial, tax, or property advice. The house price calculator in particular reflects a UK-wide average trend, not a valuation of any individual property. If you're making a financial decision, please consult a qualified professional.
